Artsy Fartsy Tuesday-Rob Stenberg

We went to the Celebration of Fine art in Scottsdale, back in April. We wanted to see if it was a show we would be interested in doing. It was great for me, because I had the chance to meet a lot of different artists, and find some great Artsy Fartsy people.

Rob Stenberg was one of those people. Rob creates unique mixed media art with a great southwest feel.

Here is a little about Rob and his art.

“Never let the odds keep you from pursuing what you
know in your heart you were meant to do.”

This is my inspiration as an artist.  My first art class was at age six and I have loved art ever since.  My career took many successful paths primarily in the health care field as an administrator and consultant.  Nine years ago I decided to use this wonderful gift and create art.  A decision I have never regretted and one that has brought me great satisfaction and inner peace.

All of my pieces are original works of art.  There are no reproductions of my work.  Every piece is unique and a “one and only.”  Collectors of my work can be confident their paintings will never be duplicated.  This is an important criterion when making an investment in original works of fine art.

My paintings are crated on gallery wrapped canvas which does not require framing.  They include contemporary southwest/tribal depictions of Warriors and Shamans.  I created my own tribe to honor and give respect to the many people who walked the earth before us.  Each piece portrays great strength and spirit.  There is also a bit of whimsy in many of my pieces.

I also create abstract paintings that include color studies based on my love of modern architecture and landscapes inspired from my many years of traveling.  All of my pieces are extremely detailed and portray great depth and texture.  I use many layers of paint to create a strong, colorful and vibrant effect.  My paintings are contemporary, yet fit with all decorating schemes and decors.

I work on all sizes of canvas.  My works ranges from small 10” x 10” pieces to large 3’ x 20’ paintings.  Much of my work is commissioned by collectors who require a specific size to meet very discerning tastes.  I meet with each collector to fully understand their desires and often provide a sketch of the piece.  The end result is an original fine art piece that will be treasured for generations.
